Last week, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) revealed that they had possession of Iranian documents dating from 2004 containing a drawing showing how to make part of an atomic warhead and its delivery system. They called this development “alarming.” Would that anyone might notice, much less be alarmed.

Makin' Bacon with Juice

were my second attempt at baby back ribs and Teresa has the method I
used in an email I sent her. TFV, it was the vinegar marinade,
etc.  Teresa had mentioned preferring dry rub w/o the sauce, and
although you see sauce in the photo, these ribs had none.  Mr
Juice put sauce on his serving, I chose the dry.  Rodger, your rub
recipe is the BOMB!  I had mixed up a batch w/o salt because I had
brined the first rib attempt. It was fabulous anyway and we'll be using
that Schlongs's Famous Rub for quite some time.  All this has
sprung from that porknography post.  Your Blog Rodger, is the Best
Ever!  And truly attracts only the finest of people. :))

There is an argument to be made for America’s never-ending presidential campaign in that it tests a candidate in a variety of different ways. ... Judging by what has transpired this week for Barack Obama and his suddenly faltering campaign, one would think the candidate would have had a bellyfull of untoward occurrences, staff gaffes, bad luck, and perhaps a touch of incompetence on the part of the candidate himself.

It began Monday with Obama’s worst performance before the national media to date. The candidate has been chided in the past for his lack of press availability so perhaps the media was a little on edge as Obama, smiling, stepped up to the podium.

He wasn’t smiling when he stepped down 15 minutes later. After a staffer called out “Last question,” Obama didn’t even wait for the query but instead, stomped away while the press roared out a cacophony of questions about Tony Rezko and the NAFTA flap at the retreating candidate. Opening himself up to derision, the candidate turned back briefly and with a forced smile on his face, pleading with the press, “C’mon guys. I answered like 8 questions.”

The Chicago Sun Times, whose reporters were a big part of making the presser an uncomfortable experience for the candidate, taunted Obama; first, with a piece that featured the phone number of the newspaper in the headline asking the candidate to call in and answer questions about his relationship with Tony Rezko – this after Obama said that he had been unable to sit down with reporters about the matter. Then today, the Sun Times takes Obama to task for only answering 8 questions: ...

Schaeffer and his Annapolis mafia had simply decreed them in the dead of night. I know what you're saying, "But Rodge, you get the gummint you vote for." Nope, not even that is a sure thing in Maryland.

Carroll judge lets new taxes proceed

ANNAPOLIS — A package of taxes and fees passed during the recent General Assembly special session took effect yesterday after a Carroll County judge declined to impose a stay while a lawsuit challenging the validity of the session makes its way through the courts.

Smokers yesterday started paying $1 more per pack of cigarettes, while taxes increased for car buyers, corporations and high-wage earners. A penny increase in the state sales tax is to take effect tomorrow.

Republican legislative leaders are still awaiting the outcome of a long-shot legal case that could overturn the tax increases.

Irwin Kramer, the lawyer representing five Republican lawmakers and a Carroll County businessman who brought the lawsuit, is scheduled to depose the key witness (chief clerk of the House of Delegates, Mary Monahan had been in hiding) in the case this morning in Annapolis.

Mr. Kramer has taken the unusual step of requesting a judge be present when he deposes chief clerk of the House of Delegates, Mary Monahan, because he thinks lawyers with the state Attorney General's Office will try to block questions during the deposition.

"I know when I ask the first question they are going to say, 'Don't answer that,' " he said yesterday.

The case, based on an obscure provision of the state constitution that lawmakers may have (oh, they did) violated during the frenzied session in November, has turned on charges that someone may have doctored the House Journal in an attempt to conceal the constitutional misstep.

But even if Carroll County Circuit Court Judge Thomas F. Stansfield rules in favor of the plaintiffs and finds that the Senate adjourned without the proper authority, it is far from certain whether he will invalidate the tax increases and the slot-machine gambling referendum approved during the session.

When Independent Counsel Robert Ray issued his final report on Travelgate, he found that that Hillary Clinton had made factually false statements but there was insufficient evidence to prosecute her.

How many times has this happened in the past 15 years? It's still happening.

This is why half the country says they will not vote for her in any circumstance. Hell, O.J. Simpson is only "Hillary Lite."

Last week we linked you to audio testimony by a bunch of leftist dickweeds who tried to stop the Army from loading supply ships in the Port of Olympia. The meeting was called by Councilman T.J. Johnson, a member in good standing of Olympia's ratbastard commie community, and a graduate of Columbine High School - where I don't think he was a gunman but who knows if they all suicided? Anyway, as I continue to peruse the testimony (I know, but it's like watching a train wreck), I find these people are a joke that never stops. Take Charles (Drew) Hendricks. He and Robert Whitlock are the organizers of this band of anarchists. This is how Hendricks began his "testimony."
